No Sleep ‘Til Bedtime! (Just kidding!)

For anyone who has small children, big children, no children, or who has ever once been a child, you know that daylight savings time is a recipe for disaster.

It’s only an hour, but it might as well be a transatlantic flight in which the same terrible movie plays on a loop.

Daytime sleep routines–otherwise known as consistent naps–are usurped by prolonged crying sessions in the crib–a form of protest that only a true baby can withstand.

Bedtimes are like fond memories…so close and yet so far away.

It’s past your bedtime.

What time was that again?

Who’s on first?

Where’s the beef?

How many toddlers does it take to change a lightbulb?

Am I dreaming?

No, I’m awake.

And so are my children.

  1. Sigh, yes this is always a tough few days and a recipe for a few melt downs and tantrums!
