Stickers Everywhere

There are dozens of stickers everywhere–all across the wood floors of my house.

My daughter put them there.

She’s three.

They’re quite stuck, as stickers do.

Hearts, rainbows, animals, stars, emojis, hamburgers, catchy phrases, and more.

They’ll go away eventually.

Every so often I try to scrape one off with my fingernails.

But it’s hard.

It’s really hard.

  1. Oh the joy of finding stickers all over the house. Be sure to take a picture of it to save for later. “Hearts, rainbows, animals…” a great image. Yes, they’re hard to remove, but I like how you say “They’ll go away eventually.” Yes, they will. Is this line about the stickers or your daughter growing up?

  2. This reminds me of when my kids used to put stickers on their walls. It drove me crazy but they eventually came down.

  3. I love this line: “They’re quite stuck, as stickers do.” So much humor in that. I also love the image of all those stickers on the floor. I’m sure it’s less fun in real life, but it was definitely fun to read about!
