Ten Normal, Everyday Things I Got To Do Today Because I’m On Spring Break

  1. I woke up without an alarm! (A crying baby doesn’t count in this case.)
  2. I took my daughter to school for the first time this calendar year.
  3. I went to the grocery store. I spent more money than I can even afford!
  4. I ate a Balthazar baguette with butter. I cut the butter with a knife and spread it with my pointer finger because I was simultaneously balancing a baby in my arms who was gumming on her own mini Balthazar baguette with butter (grass-fed!).
  5. I took a shower.
  6. I drank reheated coffee with whipped cream. (Try it. Don’t judge.)
  7. I took my baby on a stroller walk just for fun.
  8. I sat on my bed for five minutes.
  9. I made pancakes for dinner.
  10. I wrote this list before my eyelids were too tired to stay open.

  2. I loved those normal days when my kids were younger. The simple things we miss.

  3. I feel like I you can learn about you by this list. No judgement on the pointer finger smearing, and I can attest to the whipping cream in coffee! But, in all honesty, it sounds like you had a day where YOU could let the day play out instead of being on a schedule. Those are the best days.

  4. Yay! I love how you’ve highlighted all those “normal” things that feel so special because we get to do them. Number 10 sounds especially great! πŸ™‚ (To me, since it’s been a while since I’ve done that. I’m sure there were other things on your list that were even better–like #2, or maybe even #8.)
